Columbia Museum of Art - Event

The photograph I chose was the Supremes arriving at an airport. This picture is owned by the Emi Studio. The photograph was taken by John Dove in January of 1965.  The photograph is a chromogenic print, it appears black and off white.
The photo is of the Supremes getting off of an airplane. They are close together, smiling and holding their own luggage. The setting of this photo is at an airport, at the bottom of the plane stairs.  The clothes are classic, sweaters and skirts. The picture reveals that they seem like a very happy, classy singing group.
The Supremes were an American women singing group. The sang many genres of music extending from disco to soul. Women came and left the singing group. The most well known member of the group would be Diana Ross. The groups most popular songs  include Baby Love, You Can’t Hurry Love, and Stop in the Name of Love.
